PV MB Update 10.27-11.2

Good afternoon band families,  What. A. Week. I hope your students (and you!) are all resting from... probably the best weekend we've had as a band in the past 3 years! Making BOA finals at a site like Orlando (which is known for being a bloodbath) is INCREDIBLE. Finals scores were separated by tenths and single points, so that shows just how close the competition was. We are SO incredibly proud of all our students' hard work, and we are even more grateful for you as parents - to those who chaperoned, drove trucks, moved equipment, and more!!  The best part is, we are not done at all - we are just getting started. Please see below for very important information, ESPECIALLY related to Invitational. This is an all hands on deck event and we are so excited! Please let me know any questions or concerns; until then, I will be hibernating, recouping, and getting back to any emails I have missed from last week. ;)  Week at a Glance Monday, October 28 - All ...

PVHS MB Update - Hurricane!

Image
Good afternoon Families,  First and foremost, I hope y'all are all safe from any tornadoes or winds that occurred yesterday! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need help in any way.  Second - the purpose of this email is to serve as a recalibration/update on what our days are going to look like for the foreseeable future. We are out of school tomorrow, and Monday is a previously scheduled PD Day which will stay that way. We are not sure yet if days will be taken off of breaks, or we will extend into the Summer, but the school will let all of us know in the future.  It is no secret we lost a week's worth of rehearsal days, and we still have to prepare for MPA and BOA in the next few weeks. I appreciate in advance your patience and flexibility, as we try to advance our pursuits while also keeping things in check.  Tomorrow, 10.11 : NO Gig at Mizner Park (rescheduled the whole event to April), and NO composite picture da...
