PVHS MB Update - 10.20-10.26

 Good afternoon Band Families,


We had an incredible showing at MPA yesterday! Thank you for all of your support and making our band feel so loved. 

We have the busiest weeks of our season ahead of us! It takes a village, every single kid, every single parent to make all of this work. Attending rehearsals is IMPERATIVE, and making sure our kids are keeping up with their school work and health are essential - their actions affect others around them. 


Please read the UPDATED itinerary attached to this email for ALL BOA Orlando information. New to this update: timings for Friday, locations, and more. Chaperone assignments for student rooms will be released soon. 


In addition, there is a change to our rehearsal schedule (Wednesday). Please read below for details.

Week at a Glance

  • Monday, October 21 - BOA trip fee due, $100
  • Monday, October 21 - CMMS Fall Concert
  • Tuesday, October 22 - Full Marching Band practice, 4pm-8pm
  • ***Wednesday, October 23 - Full Marching Band practice, 2:45-6:30PM THIS IS A CHANGE to accommodate Admin rules, football JV games, and PSAT day.
  • Wednesday, October 23 - Chipotle Dine to Donate, 5pm-9pm (flier and instructions attached)
  • Thursday, October 24 - Full Marching Band practice, 4pm-8pm
  • Thursday, October 24 - BOA luggage and medication drop off, 6-6:30pm
  • Thursday, October 24 - Invitational volunteer meeting, 6:30pm-8pm
  • Friday, October 25 - Leave for BOA Orlando trip
  • Saturday, October 26 - Compete at BOA and return in the evening or late at night

Dine to Donate

Chipotle will donate 25% to the band program when you eat in or order online on Wednesday from 5-9. See the attachments for information and instructions.

 

BOA Trip

The Google form for medication and allergy information for the BOA trip is due. Even if you filled out the paper forms, you must complete the Google form.

The BOA fee is due NO LATER THAN October 21st - cash or check only. If you have a fair share overage, you can request a transfer of funds by emailing treasurer@parkvistaband.com

$100 per student and $200 per chaperone.

 

Parents who plan to pick up their child on Saturday after competing, before returning back to school on the bus MUST fill out Form 2360 (attached) and turn it in ASAP. In Orlando, you MUST check in with the directors to sign your child out as well.

Spiritwear

Show shirts are still available! All sizes up to XL! $12 each. 

Volunteer shirts are NECESSARY if you are volunteering at the invitational!

Events

On Tuesday, October 29th from 8pm-9pm we will be having a Trunk or Treat event for the band and color guard students after they get out of practice on that day.  Any parents that wish to decorate their car and participate please send an email to Amy at Events@parkvistaband.com.
