PV Band and Guard 2025

Good afternoon 2025 Marching Band and Guard Families! We are SO excited to get the ball rolling on next season. We had some new families join between my last email and now, so I figured it would be best to send another email. For those I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, I, along with our other Band Director at Park Vista, Mr. Rodriguez, are stoked about our plans for next year and all of you coming on board to what is about to be an eventful year. First things first, we are in the thick of recruiting for another month! Any and ALL families are welcome to join, please talk to your friends and encourage your children to do the same. This activity is way more fun when more people are involved, and we just want to have a large band family! By now, your kids have either attended a preliminary camp or have plans to attend this Tuesday (band) or Wednesday (guard), and are coming home talking about Spring and Summer camps. Please see below for our spring and summer schedule, so you can have these dates (more detailed info to come sooner): May 10: MayDay 1 from 9-1 May 17: MayDay 2 from 9-4 June 2-5: June Camp from 9-9 July 21-24: July Camp 1 form 9-9 July 28-31: July Camp 2 from 9-9 August 4-8: August mini camps from 5-9PM These days are crucial as we start putting our 2025 production on the field. If you have conflicts or concerns, please reach out so we can start a line of communication!   Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. We have a big competition to look forward to this week, and a MODIFIED rehearsal schedule due to Yom Kippur (G'mar Chatima Tovah to those who observe).  Please read ALL information below, as many important and crucial details are addressed in the itinerary (and the FAQ page). PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
