Thursday's Parent Meeting - OCT 10
We will discuss needs for our November 2 Striking Cobra Invitational and BOA trip on October 26. At least 1 parent/guardian for each member must attend either in person or online. Google Meet details are available in the HUB calendar. What is an invitational??? It is a band competition just like the one we participated in at Boca High School. The band runs this entire event and is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year. This is an "all hands on deck" event and we need everyone to give a little time for set-up the night before and/or the day of. You can complete your RAPTOR volunteer application tonight as well.

Show Shirts
Thanks to all who have purchased a shirt. We had quite the showing in the stands at our Boca competition!   If you still want one, you need to email Marjorie Soffer at spiritwear@parkvistaband.com or DM on Slack. You can send money in—$12 cash—in an envelope labeled with your child’s name and the words “SHOW SHIRT.”  Once you tell me money is dropped in the safe, I will send the shirt to your child to bring home. We have all sizes up to XL (2XL is in very limited supply).  Thanks for supporting our kids!

President's message
We understand that the food orders for this week were very confusing. Many meals were not paid for so if your student ordered food and we have not received payment, you will be getting an email this week. Please send all money owed to school as soon as possible. Thanks for your cooperation. If you were unaware that your student ordered food, please discuss this with them.
With the impending storm, there are many possible changes to the rehearsal and performance calendar. Please check the band calendar often, I and the directors will do our best to keep you informed, so please check your email daily. If you are not on SLACK, please sign up, at least 1 parent/guardian per household. This is the quickest way to get updates and one of the best ways to contact me or other band parents.

RAPTOR Signup
If you have not created your RAPTOR volunteer account, please do so ASAP. ALL VOLUNTEERS are required to be in the system. Once you have completed your online account, you will need to go to the school's front office between 7:30am and 3pm to scan your driver's license. There will be opportunities to scan your license during our upcoming parent meetings as well (dates TBA). We would love to see every parent in the system, you are an essential part of the success of our program and we are grateful for your support!! Sign up at https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/MjI3OmVuLVVT, or use the attached QR code.
