Hurricane cancellations + practice schedule change

 Dear Band Parents,

The school district has announced school closure on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday October 10th.

Based on this closure, all band activities are also cancelled including the dress rehearsal today, the concert tomorrow and any other marching band, color guard and percussion practice.

Tomorrow's concert will not be rescheduled.

The parent meeting that was scheduled for Thursday, October 10th will now take place on Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30pm, location TBD.

Due to school closure, there will be a FULL MARCHING practice on Wednesday, October 16, from 4pm - 8pm.

It is very important that all marching students attend ALL practices. If there is a schedule conflict, please email Ms. Murthy, amrutha.murthy@palmbeachschools.org

  Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
