MB Update 10.13-10.19

 Good afternoon Band Families, 

I hope you have all been doing well! Busy week ahead of us - I appreciate your work and patience. Please see the attached MPA Itinerary, as one small adjustment needed to be made to the schedule. 
Gentle reminder that BOA Hotel fees of $100 for your student are due ASAP (by 10/21) in the band safe in check or cash. We cannot do SchoolCash for this hotel fee. 

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns! (FanAngel credits will be applied within the week)

Week at a Glance
Monday, October 14 - No school, field is open 4pm-7:30pm for independent practice and sectionals (HIGHLY encouraged, so we are not having to reteach stuff on Oct. 15. We have missed 10 days of rehearsal!!!!)
Tuesday, October 15 - Full marching band practice, 4pm-8pm
Tuesday, October 15 - Mandatory Parent Meeting, 6:30pm-8pm
Wednesday, October 16 - Full marching band practice, 4pm-8pm
Thursday, October 17 - Full marching band practice, 4pm-8pm
Saturday, October 19 - MPA practice 8am-12pm, Performance call time 3:30pm

BOA Orlando Trip
Use this mandatory Google form for the overnight BOA trip that needs to be filled out by Friday, October 18! https://forms.gle/8VStzLFreb1XPK3p6 
The only people who will be able to view this form are Ms. Murthy, Mr. Rodriguez, and Allison Moyel. If your child will be taking any medications on the trip, each medication will need to be in its original container, a physician authorization form must be filled out for each medication, and you must have a picture of your child included. Contact Allison at district.policy@parkvistaband.com if you have any questions.

Uniforms
Remember, all band members must wear BLACK compression shirt, shorts, and socks every time they wear their uniforms. If you do not have these in black yet, please get them ASAP to have in time for the MPA performance on Saturday. We recommend these or similar:
Womens:Shirt Shorts
Mens: Shirt Shorts
Unisex: Socks

Spiritwear
Show shirts are still available! Marjorie will be selling them the parent meeting on Tuesday.  $12 cash. Sizes S/M/L/XL are available.  
ALL volunteers at the Park Vista Invitational MUST have a blue volunteer shirt!!!  They will also be available at the parent meeting. They are $8 each.

RAPTOR Signup
If you have not created your RAPTOR volunteer account, please do so ASAP. ALL VOLUNTEERS are required to be in the system. Once you have completed your online account, you will need to go to the school's front office between 7:30am and 3pm to scan your driver's license. There will be opportunities to scan your license during our upcoming parent meetings as well (dates TBA). We would love to see every parent in the system, you are an essential part of the success of our program and we are grateful for your support!!
