  Good morning band families, We are entering another light week - this is perfect to get everyone caught up and on the same page! To our newer families, please keep familiarizing yourself with our HUB and previous emails - let me know if you have any questions!  To ALL families, gentle note about attendance that only certain absences count as excused.   Hello! This notice is to inform you of the new safety measures the school is required to adopt according to HB1473 which passed this year regarding campus safety.  Band practice starts promptly at 9AM and all students should enter the campus through the main school gate  before  9AM.   ALL  school gates will be locked for all Saturday rehearsals at 9:30AM. If you are late to practice, you will need to go to the student lot gate entrance (it is the next school entrance as you drive east on Northtree Blvd toward the park) and one of the directors will let you in. You will drive to the right to park or drop off your student. You  MAY NOT  remain on campus unless you are a scheduled volunteer for a band activity. At lunch/dinner time, you will again need to drive to the student lot gate entrance if you are delivering food to your student. It is highly recommended that they pack lunch/dinner. Please see the link below for the pre-order form for dinners for the 8/16 football game and the 8/17 9-9 practice. Please be advised your student will also be seeing this on Discord. Good morning families,  (Twas the night before the first day of school... eek!!) We are SO excited to see your kids in a school environment tomorrow - if any of them feel scared and nervous, we got them! Come to the band room, there's always upperclassmen hanging out, and we can help anyone out!! :)  Now that school is starting: Schoolwork and academics come first! We are  firmly  against students using band as an excuse to not complete their schoolwork. Students that are not passing their classes at the 6-week mark, or do not have above a 2.0 GPA will talk to the directors about their plans to actively complete their schoolwork. PVHS has great lunch, after-school, and peer tutoring opportunities.  Please read the  entire  email below for important information.  We understand the emails are cumbersome and long, but this is the most concise way to ensure everyone has all the information they need to be an active participant....
