Parent meeting tomorrow

Just a reminder that there is a parent meeting tomorrow night at 7pm in the school auditorium for all band and color guard members. This is the link to the google meet if you cannot be there in person.

From 7-7:30 Ms. Murthy will be discussing the switch from Charms to Cut Time.
If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding this subject please email president@parkvistaband.com before 5pm tomorrow evening.   

From 7:30-8pm we will cover general band business.
   We are in great need of an additional fundraising coordinator.
   Traditional "after the first football game" student social on Friday, September 6th at Duffy's. This is a great opportunity for our kids to socialize and get to know newer members. Parents will be able to dine as well and the venue will donate 20% of those sales to the band. 
   We will be offering a pizza dinner before the 9/6 football game. Please use this link to order. You can bring cash to the meeting.

If you have any forms to hand in, please do so tomorrow, they are WAY PAST DUE. There will be a notary on site for your convenience. Any student who has not submitted physical/medical/financial forms, although required to be at the football game, will NOT participate in the half-time show.

Please complete your online RAPTOR volunteer application. A school representative will be at the meeting, and will be able to scan your driver's license to complete your registration. Go to "palmbeachschools.org" website and search "volunteer". Click on the first item in the search results box and that will take you to the volunteer application. Instructions for completing the application are attached. 

Please check your email for the school cash online link for marching band and band class payments that was sent out by the school on Monday 8/26. Remember, when paying by credit card on school cash, a fee will be charged. The band does NOT receive this fee. You may continue to pay band fees via check or cash submitted in an envelope placed into the band safe.

  Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
