IMPORTANT BANDSGIVING UPDATE

Image
Hello Band Family, We are so pleased that so many of you have decided to attend our first ever Bandsgiving. Due to the amazing number of RSVP's for tonight's event, we have had to change the location to the school courtyard to accommodate all of us. Please enter the courtyard from the school main gate. The committee would be very grateful to have some more hands to  help with the set up at 5PM , as tables and chairs need to be moved to the courtyard from the band room and hallway in addition to putting drinks in coolers, etc.  Please sign up in Cut time or email Amy Krostich at  events@parkvistaband.com  to let her know you will be able to help. Looking forward to a lovely evening!! Check out the   Parent HUB   for all the information you might be looking for!! Warm regards, Lorraine  Weissberg Email:   Pre sident@ parkvistaband.com Presiden t - Park Vista Band Winds-Guard-Pit-Battery

FMBC State Itinerary and More

Image
Good evening Band families,  This is it! This is the week! This is the last one!! We've been working hard as a band and I am sure as families since MAY to get here!!!! State deserved its own email, so please read below for ALL FMBC State information, and be on the lookout for another email that will have our normal weekly activities.  Gentle note regarding our itinerary:  By the time we get back to school from performing in prelims, this will be around the time we would normally dismiss from a competition rehearsal. Instead of keeping the kids at school from 11:30-6, we figured it would be good to  let the kids go home  so they can eat a good lunch, get a nap at home, do their homework ;), rest, etc. like we would for a normal competition. This is a perk of us having such a spread-out state time, but having this contest be so close to home. I realize it might be a lot to drop them off at school for prelims, then pick up, then drop off,...

Weekend Update....

Image
Hello parents!!! Oh what a season this has been and it's not over yet! Thank you for your patience and understanding of all the updates. For the  Garcia competition , they have updated their schedule to reflect the awards ceremony/retreat will occur at 9:15PM They do accept cash or credit cards for concessions. I cannot be sure if that means you can buy concessions via GoFan or straight credit card purchases. There is a strict clear bag policy AND there will be metal detectors that all spectators must pass through (school policy). There will be no early release of students after retreat, ALL students must return to Park Vista with their drivers. Parent Chaperones and Drivers, you will receive a separate email with instructions for tomorrow. For the Sunday  Palm Beach Symphony  performance, there is an itinerary update attached. Please note the typo in the document that says PBHSMB, it should read PVHSMB. The band will return at 4PM , not at 2PM. You can still submi...

Garcia & Philharmonic update

Image
Hello parents, Please read this entire email!!! Attached is the itinerary, competition schedule and concession menu for the Garcia competition this Saturday. If you signed up as a parent driver OR you are driving your own student (only 4 parents are driving their own, every other student has already been assigned),  you must be at the school no later than 3:30PM. Parent drivers will receive a placard for your windshield. If you choose to drop off students and return after retreat for student pick up, this must be in your car for re-entry AND you must email me and the directors by Friday so we can let you know what time to return. You cannot return in a different car and you must return to pick up the students, NOT a different driver. Please see the site map for the entry point for student drop off, it is NOT the spectator entrance. ALL STUDENTS MUST RETURN TO PARK VISTA AFTER THE GARCIA COMPETITION  to drop off their instruments in anticipa...
