Weekend Update....

 Hello parents!!!

Oh what a season this has been and it's not over yet!
Thank you for your patience and understanding of all the updates.

For the Garcia competition, they have updated their schedule to reflect the awards ceremony/retreat will occur at 9:15PM
They do accept cash or credit cards for concessions. I cannot be sure if that means you can buy concessions via GoFan or straight credit card purchases.
There is a strict clear bag policy AND there will be metal detectors that all spectators must pass through (school policy).
There will be no early release of students after retreat, ALL students must return to Park Vista with their drivers.
Parent Chaperones and Drivers, you will receive a separate email with instructions for tomorrow.

For the Sunday Palm Beach Symphony performance, there is an itinerary update attached. Please note the typo in the document that says PBHSMB, it should read PVHSMB.
The band will return at 4PM, not at 2PM. You can still submit the field trip form that says 2pm. Please return all electronic forms to Allison Moyel at district.policy@parkvistaband.com or hand in the paper copy no later than tomorrow morning.
Make sure your students eat a good breakfast. They will get snacks after arrival.
There will be NO release of students to parents after the performance. ALL students must return on the bus to Park Vista. If you need to make other arrangements for your student, you MUST email the directors upon receipt of this email TODAY.

  Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. We have a big competition to look forward to this week, and a MODIFIED rehearsal schedule due to Yom Kippur (G'mar Chatima Tovah to those who observe).  Please read ALL information below, as many important and crucial details are addressed in the itinerary (and the FAQ page). PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
