PV Band Weekly Update: 2.8-2.14
Good afternoon Band Families,
Big week this past week! We are so proud of our jazz band students who performed in MPA this week, and we are SO grateful for our parent volunteers who helped make this event a success. As always, the directors and judges praised us for always being the best hosts, which is a direct compliment to y'all. In addition, our Concert Band Brass and Woodwind Choirs, percussion ensemble "shock factor" and Valentina F earned SUPERIOR ratings at Solo and Ensemble this past weekend. We are SO proud of them, but also very proud of everyone who prepared and performed!
This week will be a little bit of a breather, but as always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns, happy to help in any way!

Looking Ahead: Concert MPA on March 10-11
On March 10 and 11, we will be hosting the high school Concert MPA. This is a big event with many schools attending, each with multiple ensembles. Please see CutTime to sign up to volunteer for the event. ALL of our kids will be involved in performing, so we need more parent help!
Flea Market Update:
We had the fourth flea market of the year yesterday and it was a big success for our program and the 65 vendors. A huge thank-you goes out to all of the parents and students who gave some of their time to make this happen.
Our next flea market is March 7. Please share the attached flier with your family, friends, and neighbors! Community social media groups are great places to spread the word. If you have a small business or have anything to sell, consider getting a booth for yourself, too. Sign up for a booth using this online form: https://tally.so/r/ Y5Pvg0
Now that we have a great flea market committee, helping out for this valuable event is easier than ever! Contact Amy Krostich on Slack or text her at (561) 374-3311 for more information about getting involved.
Vertical Raise:
We have 12 days left!!!!! Please make sure you are taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to be raising funds for Indy, Indoor perc, guard, etc.
It is important that students are participating in all our fundraisers, especially with Indianapolis, Guard, Percussion, and any other financial encumbrances coming up. We are doing our best to provide opportunities, but it only makes it worthwhile if we take full advantage of it.
Share the link, we have already raised $6,000+ and shoutout to Maya Anderson for raising more than $1100!!!!: https://vraise.org/ avmwpQ
Wind Ensemble - Indianapolis:
Please continue to see attached for the itineraries and sponsorship letters to share with your companies. I was able to successfully get a sponsorship for our group by reaching out directly to companies where our parents work and asking them to "sponsor one student." This has been highly successful. Companies are more willing to sponsor if they have a personal relationship with an employee (you), or the cause (ex. If a PV Alum or parent owns a company)
As of Feb 8: We have gotten 11 students FULLY SPONSORED by student or parents' places of employment. It IS possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you need help to reach out, please ask me. I have a 98% success rate with companies I have reached out to on behalf of your kid or you. :)
Many hands make light work. I have reached out to almost 37 different companies, organizations, businesses, and more. We NEED your help in continuing to get the word out so this is not as large of a burden on our families. If you have contacts with large Florida based companies, reach out! Nearing tax season, most companies are looking for write-offs at the moment....!
Thank you so much for all of your help in this matter. We are trying to move Heaven and Earth to make it all happen for our kids, but I cannot do this without you.
