Not much going on this week, please see below for the updates!

Week at a Glance:

Monday, February 16 -- Symphonic Band rehearsal, 3:15-4:30pm
Tuesday, February 17 -- Middle School Pre-MPA, 5pm-7pm
Tuesday, February 17 -- Wind Ensemble rehearsal, 3:15pm-5pm
Wednesday, February 18 -- No school
Saturday, February 21 -- WG 9-9 

Normal Winter Guard and percussion rehearsals continue this week. 

Save the Date: Parent Engagement Social on Sunday, March 8:
We are kicking off a fun engagement activity for all band and guard parents interested in getting involved in next year’s band planning.  This will be a time to kick back and socialize with food and drink with your fellow band parents after a full year of marching season, winter competitions, and indoor concerts, while looking ahead to next year.  

Please join us Sunday March 8th at 4:30 pm at the Hive Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar.  2412 Floral Road, Lantana, FL (off of Hypoluxo Rd).  We will be sitting outside in the big Tiki Hut (dining area).

If you want to get involved but aren’t available on the 8th please complete the RSVP to get added to the list for future fun engagement events and to stay in the loop of band planning. Vertical Raise:
We have 12 days left!!!!! Please make sure you are taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to be raising funds for Indy, Indoor perc, guard, etc. 

It is important that students are participating in all our fundraisers, especially with Indianapolis, Guard, Percussion, and any other financial encumbrances coming up. We are doing our best to provide opportunities, but it only makes it worthwhile if we take full advantage of it.

Wind Ensemble - Indianapolis:
Please continue to see attached for the itineraries and sponsorship letters to share with your companies. I was able to successfully get a sponsorship for our group by reaching out directly to companies where our parents work and asking them to "sponsor one student." This has been highly successful. Companies are more willing to sponsor if they have a personal relationship with an employee (you), or the cause (ex. If a PV Alum or parent owns a company)
As of Feb 15: We have gotten 11 students FULLY SPONSORED by student or parents' places of employment. If you need help to reach out, please ask me. :) 

Many hands make light work. I have reached out to almost 37 different companies, organizations, businesses, and more. We NEED your help in continuing to get the word out so this is not as large of a burden on our families. If you have contacts with large Florida based companies, reach out! Nearing tax season, most companies are looking for write-offs at the moment....! 

Thank you so much for all of your help in this matter. We are trying to move Heaven and Earth to make it all happen for our kids, but I cannot do this without you.

Good afternoon 2025 Marching Band and Guard Families! We are SO excited to get the ball rolling on next season. We had some new families join between my last email and now, so I figured it would be best to send another email. For those I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, I, along with our other Band Director at Park Vista, Mr. Rodriguez, are stoked about our plans for next year and all of you coming on board to what is about to be an eventful year. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.28-10.4

  Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. We have a big competition to look forward to this week, and a MODIFIED rehearsal schedule due to Yom Kippur (G'mar Chatima Tovah to those who observe).  Please read ALL information below, as many important and crucial details are addressed in the itinerary (and the FAQ page). PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks.
