iThink training dates

Happy Friday Parents,

I have received training dates for the iThink Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. If you want to work iThink events this summer you must attend this training. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind about working at iThink.

First, what does working at iThink include? IThink places us in booths serving alcohol. You might be serving beer, frozen drinks, mixed drinks, etc. You might also carry heavy items to restock inventory. There may be a non-alcoholic booth; however, there is no guarantee you will be assigned to work those booths. There are no food preparation or kitchen jobs. You will work directly with customers. You must also diligently check IDs. Please keep these points in mind before attending the iThink training.

Second, iThink is an outdoor venue and all booths are outside, meaning exposure to sun, heat and possible rain. Please be prepared for this.

Third, the number of iThink volunteers needed depends on the tickets sold for each event. This means they won't know the number of workers they need until approximately a week before an event. CutTime will have 3 spots available for each iThink event. If more parents are needed I will send a request for additional parents.

Fourth, iThink sends payments quarterly. This means payments won't reflect in your account for a couple of months. Please be patient. This is out of our control.

Finally, if you've read this far and still want to work, let's get you trained. IThink pays a cost for each parent who attends the training. They ask that you only attend training if you plan to work several events, perhaps 6-8 events. Events run from May thru October. I have posted the iThink Amphitheater training dates on CutTime. Click on "iThink Training". In there you will have 6 dates to choose from. Sign up for 1 date you can attend. Please sign up before February 27th at 3pm on CutTime to attend one of the mandatory trainings. This training is valid for three years.

Parents who attended the training last year do not need to attend again this year. If you attended the training last year please send me a quick email to refresh my memory. I appreciate it.
