PV Band Weekly Update: 8.31-9.6

 Good afternoon band families, 


I hope you have all been doing well! We had a successful football game this week, we LOVED getting to welcome Jupiter's Band and perform a joint halftime. We have a gap in our schedule from games, our next one is Sep 18 (Hoco). 
Originally, we also had a 9-9 scheduled for Sep 6, but as of a month ago, that 9-9 is REMOVED so the kids can focus on their homework, catching up on studying, and taking the ACT. This week is SUPER light, but please let us know if we can do anything for you and your family; happy to help in any way. 

Week at a Glance:
Monday, September 1 -- Labor Day, no school and no rehearsal
Monday, September 1 -- Second Fair Share payment due, $400
Tuesday, September 2 -- Full Marching Band Rehearsal, 4pm-8pm
Thursday, September 4 -- Full Marching Band Rehearsal, 4pm-8pm

Fair Share Payments:
Fair Share can now be paid on School Cash Online at https://palmbeach.schoolcashonline.com. Payment can also be made by cash or check and put in the band safe with your student's name on it. It is crucial that everyone keeps up with these payments to keep the program running! 

The second Fair Share payment of $400 is due on Monday. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Cheryl Phillips at treasurer@parkvistaband.com.
This band has had a 20+ year history of making it ALL work for everyone and we are committed to keeping that drive. If you have ANY financial concerns, please keep Ms. Murthy and Mr. Rodriguez in the loop. We are willing to work with YOU and your family on all of this. 

IMPORTANT: If you owe from previous year(s), you are on the obligation list with the school. This means your student cannot purchase a homecoming or prom ticket, get a parking pass, or participate at graduation. Any payments made to the band first goes to any previous year(s) balance to get the student off the obligation list.

Show Shirts:
SHOW SHIRT PRE-ORDERS end this Friday, September 5. School Cash Online ONLY until September 5. Paying through School Cash Online is the only way you can order a shirt, so don't miss out!
**If you paid your merch fees, your student will get a shirt as part of those fees---so no need to order one for them!**

New Field Trip Forms:
Field trip forms for the competition at Jupiter High School and FMBC States at FIU need to be completed and returned as soon as possible. They are available to download on the Document Archive page of the Parent HUB: https://sites.google.com/parkvistaband.com/parenthub/doc-archive.

Uniforms:
All band members must wear BLACK compression shirt, shorts, and socks every time they wear their uniforms. If you do not have these yet, please get them soon. We recommend these or similar:
Womens: Shirt Shorts
Mens: Shirt Shorts
Unisex: Socks

FanAngel:
We launched our FanAngel campaign in classes this week. Please help us SPREAD THE WORD by sharing this general link, or your child's personal link. We have so many amazing things on the docket this year, but we need YOUR help in connecting all of your networks to bring these opportunities to life for our wonderful kids. 

Music for All:
Wind Ens Families: We are in the process of getting final field trip approvals, which then will determine parent meetings, itineraries, structures, and more. For now, when you get a few mins, please watch this "welcome video" with your child so you can learn more about this festival.
