PV Band Weekly Update 5.4-5.10
Good afternoon Band Families,
This might be our last update for our senior families! Thank you SO much for all you have done for our program, and we will miss you so much!!!!!
Our Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band had SPECTACULAR performances at State MPA this past week, and we are so proud of all these kids. Symphonic Band earned an Excellent rating, and Wind Ensemble earned the Otto Kraushaar award for straight superior ratings at marching, concert, and State MPA. WOW!
As all things come to an end, new ones must begin. We will have those simultaneously happening this week! Please see below for the weekly happenings! Our 2025 marching band show theme will be released this week, and I've given the kids some hints, and I will send them to you as well, feel free to play along!
Hint 1: I’m sought in despair, yet bring hope to the lost,
Found without purchase, though valued in cost. I’m a gift, not a trade. What am I?
Hint 2: You know I'm wrong, yet still I gleam,
An enticing path within your dream. I shine like gold, but hide like ice, One step toward me pays the price. What am I?
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!
SLT Auditions:
Students that are auditioning for Drum Major will have an audition on May 6 after school from 3-4:30pm (could be done sooner). Any students auditioning for section leader will have their auditions take place on May 10.

We had to make a change to this schedule due to the CMMS band spring trip. Our first MayDay, required for all 2025 MB members will be on May 10 from 9AM-1PM.
At this camp we will learn movement basics, playing fundamentals, and some show music.

Please Volunteer at the Flea Market on May 17
We will have about 50 vendors at the Flea Market next month. NO students will not be available to volunteer that day, so we are looking for more parents to volunteer to help out. Please share the attached flyer on social media to spread the word, too!
