Good morning band families, Please see below for the weekly update - jam packed but short week! Week at a Glance: Monday, April 14 -- Symphonic Band rehearsal 3:15-5pm Tuesday, April 15 -- X-Camp, 5-7pm Wednesday, April 16 -- Color Guard Spring Training, 5-7pm Wednesday, April 16 -- Wind Ensemble after-school rehearsal 3-5pm Thursday, April 17 -- Color Guard Spring Training, 5-7pm Thursday, April 17 -- Jazz Under the Stars, 6:30-7:30pm Friday, April 18 -- No School Kicking off the Marching Band and Guard Season: We have our first X-Camp on Tuesday from 5-7! All you need is your instrument, a water bottle, and clothing you can move in. If you play tuba or drums, we got you - you do not HAVE to bring your own. Color Guard Spring Training is this week on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7! We are also trying to have a dance line for marching band next year. If you know any current dancers or "want to be" dancers, this is the time to grab them and get them on board! It is definitely not too late to sign up for marching band and color guard.This is an activity that teaches team building, discipline, camaraderie, fun, and all the inside jokes and bonding happen in these summer/fall season months. If you or your kids know anyone who might be interested, share the attached fliers with them. Band Banquet: Please see attached for the annual band banquet invitation, on May 10! All are invited!   Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. We have a big competition to look forward to this week, and a MODIFIED rehearsal schedule due to Yom Kippur (G'mar Chatima Tovah to those who observe).  Please read ALL information below, as many important and crucial details are addressed in the itinerary (and the FAQ page). PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
