Music for All Trip - April 8-9, 2025 - Final updates

Good morning Wind Ensemble and JB 1 families, This is THE week!! Thank you for all of your support of these wonderful kids - they really are the A-team. Looking forward to an excellent performance from JB1 on Tuesday and Wind Ens on Wednesday. (Fun fact, this is the first time in PV HISTORY that the Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform in an honors performance series, especially a Music for All one. This is an incredible precedent for the future of PVWE) Wind Ensemble has their ONLY MONDAY rehearsal TOMORROW from 3-5PM. It is imperative that all students are there, since we do not see them again until performance time. Couple of reminders: - Your students need to pack light. They will only be there for 2 days and 1 night, no reason to pack their entire room. :) We have 53 people on this trip. - Itinerary is attached: Please read it - Students are on a TLE on April 8 and April 9 ONLY. We will be arriving back LATE (midnight). Students are encouraged to get their homework done in the downtime we have between performances, hotel, bus, and get sleep on the bus so they can attend school on April 10. - Students can bring their luggage to school tomorrow, we will put it in the dressing rooms which will be locked. - If you are driving to campus, please park in the "North lot" which is in the teacher lot closest to the main gate. - They will need to have enough money to acquire lunch and dinner on April 8, any park souveniers, and lunch/dinner on April 9. See you BRIGHT and early Tuesday morning at 4:30AM!   Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. We have a big competition to look forward to this week, and a MODIFIED rehearsal schedule due to Yom Kippur (G'mar Chatima Tovah to those who observe).  Please read ALL information below, as many important and crucial details are addressed in the itinerary (and the FAQ page). PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
