MB Update 9.1-9.7
Good morning MB families,
Inhale...exhale... Hope you are enjoying your (rainy) long weekend! This week is about to be SLAMMED so it is imperative we read every single facet of this email. Side note - rehearsal dress code is white shirt, black shorts, and sneakers (no converse, no crocs, nothing weird). We've started to see this slip a little, so please help us maintain uniformity!
**On Thursday, students will need to bring their band shoes (Bandos) to rehearsal so they can break them in. Please check before Thursday to make sure you have them, some of your kids left them in the band room already...**
Note on campus safety from PVHS admin: Students cannot leave campus on game days. Please plan to complete meal pre-orders, or send food with them so they have a way to eat before we perform.
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns, happy to help in any way we can!

We have now switched over to use CutTime to track fair share and other financial information. Volunteer sign ups will be moving to CutTime soon. Access to Charms is still available for another month -- We recommend that you log in one final time to take screenshots of your child's financial details so any issues with the transfer can be addressed.
Access CutTime here: https://app.gocuttime. com/guardian/resend-magic-link
Enter your cell phone number or email address and you will be sent a "Magic Link" that takes you into your account. Contact Ms. Murthy if you have any login problems.
Friday's Football Game
All marching band and color guard members are required at the game. This will be the first time they take the field to perform their show Juxtaposition! Band students who are not in marching band are also invited to play in the stands.
All students that do not have all their forms in by Thursday, September 5th, will be required to be at the football game on Friday, but can't march half-time.Your Uniform Team wants to send 3 reminders:
- Bring your compression tops and shorts
- Bring your Bandos and black socks
- If you have long hair, be sure you have what you need to put it up if necessary

Social at Duffy's after the Football Game: Events@parkvistaband.com
This Friday, September 6th after the football game all students in band and color guard are having their traditional social dinner taking place at Duffy's Sports Grill at Boynton Beach Blvd. and Jog Rd. Price is $20 (cash only) for an entree and drink (tax and tip included). Sign up with this Google form: https://docs.google. com/forms/d/e/ 1FAIpQLSeO9j4yyoxTkYPmSq8hfhrG WivyDZsO8UKVzwl9EwbWTvkNtw/ viewform?usp=pp_url. Pre-pay and sign up at the band gate after practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week, or by putting $20 cash in a separate marked envelope in the band safe this week. Students can pay at the door as well.
The students will choose their meal at the restaurant from several preselected options (dietary needs can be accommodated). Parents can drop their kids off or stay and dine off the full menu and the band will get 20% back for all orders that night.
We need 8 parents as "chaperones" to sit near the kids and circulate as needed to keep the event running smoothly. Those parents can choose to have the $20 fixed price dinner if desired or order off the menu if you want to eat.
Pizza Dinner before the Football Game
We will be offering a pizza dinner before Friday's football game to give the kids the energy to perform. Please use this link to order: https://forms.gle/ exci8WXdndkbjH656. Please make sure you put the cash in an envelope with your child's name, label it Football Dinner $ and the amount enclosed. Orders are due by midnight on Wednesday.

Show shirts are coming!!! Here is a primer for new members...
WHAT is a show shirt? This is a shirt that has our show logo on the front, and our competition schedule on the back. It's black with short sleeves.
WHY do we need one? Parents and family members wear these shirts in the stands at competitions so everyone knows who we are and who we are supporting.
WHERE do I get one? They are due in stock in a few weeks. Watch your email to see what dates/times we will be selling them.
HOW much do they cost? They are $12 this year. CASH ONLY. These can NOT be paid for with fair share funds from your account. (Sorry!)
WHO needs one of these? Any family member or friend who wants to support the band!
WHEN will my child get one? If you paid your merch fees, your child will get one as part of those fees. After they perform, they take off their uniform tops and put these on instead.
The shirts come in sizes S-4X. If you filled out a preorder form at the August meeting, you are GUARANTEED your requested sizes! If you did not fill one out, don't worry--there are extras that were ordered. You do NOT need to buy one for your child if their merch fees are paid in full.
