PVHS Marching Band - Invitational email 1 of 10,000 (JK, maybe 10) for this week: Donations/Volunteer descriptions

 Hello Band Family,


This week is another BIG week.  

In preparation for the Invitational this weekend, a series of emails will be going out.  Today's email is to inform you of items that we are requesting to have donated and/or lent to us.  For the loaners, please label everything with your name and everything should be brought to school no later than Thursday night during/after practice. It will not behoove us to bring items on the night of the football game with all the people, security and other events going on. 

The goal is to have everything ready for set up at 8am Saturday morning at the latest.

Secondly, we will also need as many of you as possible to volunteer.  As requested, the descriptions of these spots are attached for you to review.  

Please go onto Charms and sign up for a role...or three! :)  Every shift you volunteer for, you will be provided a meal ticket.  You must check-in at the volunteer check-in table to receive these tickets.

  Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
