BIG Fundraising Opportunity - REMINDER - Corporate Sponsorships!

Hello Band Family!

New to this year, we have a corporate sponsorship program to reach out to companies in the community to help the band program reach its financial goals for the year. For the first time, 20% of all donations you bring in will be applied to your student's fair share account. That makes this a great opportunity to help the band while lowering your personal costs!

We have additional expenses this year -- in addition to everything we've always done, we are separately raising money for the London trip. When a company makes a contribution, they can choose which fund (or funds) they want their money to go to.

The Sponsorship Packet outlines the details of the sponsorship program and all of the recognitions we make for our sponsors. It also includes instructions to make payments through the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, and an appeals letter from Mrs. Murthy. 

Donation instructions for band parents:
  1. Share the  Sponsorship Packet, with any companies or individuals that may be interested in sponsoring the band program and discuss the giving opportunities. Include companies that you work for and regularly do business with. Be sure to check with your employer for matching donation programs they may have, too.
  2. Have the sponsor follow the payment instructions on page 3 of the document. 
    • Checks can be mailed to the Education Foundation or given directly to you. Turn in checks that you collect to the safe in the band room.
    • Checks made out to the Education Foundation of Palm Beach need to include "Park Vista Band" in the memo field.
    • Credit card donations can be made at https://educationfoundationpbc.org/donate
  3. Important: Fill out the sponsorship Google form to let us know that the donation is coming and which fund it should be routed to. This is also required to get fair share credit for the donation. The form is available at: https://forms.gle/gqFF1La4sXpDvHEQ7
If a sponsor is interested in donating goods or services, we can recognize and reward this contribution as well. Please discuss in-kind donations with Seth, the Sponsorship Coordinator at sponsorships@parkvistaband.com first to make sure that the band can make use of the item. Note: In-kind donations do not earn fair share.

There is no deadline for this program -- you can keep reaching out to companies throughout the year. This program is a great addition to the Program ads. The Sponsorship Packet can be shared with companies when you are selling ads or after that program's deadline.

  Good morning Band Families,  WOW what a weekend! I hope you and your kids feel so proud about this past weekend and the performance they had at Boca. The kids had a great show, judges were so complimentary and constructive, the costumes and props look fantastic, and more. This was an incredible first show (a 1st place win, Best Music, Visual, GE, and Guard did not hurt either!!!) and we are over the moon.  The work does not stop here, though. PV Band Weekly Update: 10.26-11.01

  Good afternoon Band Families, Thank YOU for everything yesterday and this whole week! Directors, judges, and schools were nothing but complimentary for the way we host shows. They loved our respectfulness, our helpfulness, and how prepared we were, even with our weather situation at the end. Your kids also did a FANTASTIC job, and were the "talk of the town" in the way they conducted themselves.  That being said - we do need to wrap up some invitational items (air out tents, reorganize the connex, etc) so please see CutTime later today to volunteer tomorrow for Invitational cleanup.  It really does take a whole village to run this event, and we are PROUD to have y'all, our alumni, and our future representing us in such a positive manner.  We are hitting our final 2 weeks. PV Band Weekly Update: 9.21-9.27

Good morning band families! It's an exciting week ahead of us - first competition week! This week looks strange for our rehearsals, since there are NO sectionals or rehearsals Monday and Tuesday. We really stress (heavily) the importance of the rehearsals on Thursday and Friday to best set us up for success going into the Boca Comp. I tell our kids a lot that "practice to learn your part, rehearsal is to learn how other people's parts go with yours."  It is IMPERATIVE that our kids (and us) are thinking in 'team sport' mentality over individual interests this week, and in general.  Attached are several documents, please pursue and take note of the details.
