All Things for 9/1 Football Game
Hello Band Family and Happy Friday!
NEXT Friday is our first home football game. Without the Marching Band, high school football games would not be the same and that's a fact. Showtunes will be played all throughout the game in support of the football team and providing unforgettable experiences for students, faculty and families.
Here are some important things for you to know about next Friday.
1) Students will have a pre-game rehearsal from 3-4pm
2) Students have the option of eating at 4:30 by submitting their order form/monies by Monday the 28th. The order form for that is attached.
3) Chaperones will report in at 4pm to check-in and assist with handing out meals and getting them organized for gametime. Please check Charms for Chaperoning needs (under the volunteering section). As of this morning, we still need two additional chaperones and we will be needing 10 concessions volunteers (positions will be open in Charms ASAP). Two additional volunteers are being requested to sell the football program books and the coupon books during the game as well.
4) Please reference the link for "uniform" requirements for this game. https://drive.google.com/file/ d/ 1T3xj3ERPlq3zTxMHD7QnkymZptt0c WVG/view
5) Call-time for performers is at 5:30pm sharp
6) Performers will take the stand around 6pm as the game starts at 6:30pm.
7) Parents are not required to attend the game BUT if attending, tickets are purchased in advance on the GoFan app. Download the app today. The GoFan App is needed to purchase many competitions and concert tickets as well. Tickets are $10 each. There is also a clear bag policy so be sure to prepare for that.
8) After the game is an optional social at Texas Roadhouse. This is an annual affair so attendance is encouraged. The flyer for that is also attached. The kids usually sit amongst themselves, but everyone is welcome. The cost is $15. Please email fundraising@parkvistaband.com if you plan on attending to RSVP. Cash payment is required and should be prepaid by submitting to the band safe (again with proper labeling) or provided to Lorraine at the game. No one will be turned away at the door either. We are just obtaining an RSVP to get an idea as to how many people will be coming to let the establishment know.
