  Hello Band Family! The September events at FLA LIVE are up and posted in Charms for sign-up. Note(s):  Events and spots are not guaranteed. All spots are first come first serve.  The appropriate number of people will be selected to work after we receive confirmation that we have a stand and how many people it will take to fill.   Hello Band Family and Happy Friday! NEXT Friday is our first home football game.  Without the Marching Band, high school football games would not be the same and that's a fact.  Showtunes will be played all throughout the game in support of the football team and providing unforgettable experiences for students, faculty and families. Here are some important things for you to know about next Friday. 1) Students will have a pre-game rehearsal from 3-4pm 2) Students have the option of eating at 4:30 by submitting their order form/monies by Monday the 28th.  The order form for that is attached. 3) Chaperones will report in at 4pm to check-in and assist with handing out meals and getting them organized for gametime.  Please check Charms for Chaperoning needs  (under the volunteering section). As of this morning, we still need two additional chaperones and we will be needing 10 concessions volunteers (positions will be open in Charms ASAP). T...

  Dear Band Family, We are aware that there may be some issues with making multiple payments for London via  School Cash Online.  We are working to resolve the matter and appreciate your patience. Payments by check can still be made.  Checks can be made payable to Park Visa Band.  In the memo section, please put your performer's name and the purpose of the check (London payment). Put the check in an envelope and also label the envelope with performer's name and the purpose of the check (London payment). Hello Band Family! New to this year, we have a corporate sponsorship program to reach out to companies in the community to help the band program reach its financial goals for the year. For the first time, 20% of all donations you bring in will be applied to your student's fair share account. That makes this a great opportunity to help the band while lowering your personal costs! We have additional expenses this year -- in addition to everything we've always done, we are separately raising money for the London trip. When a company makes a contribution, they can choose which fund (or funds) they want their money to go to. The  Sponsorship Packet  outlines the details of the sponsorship program and all of the recognitions we make for our sponsors. Hello Band Family! First and foremost, a big THANK YOU to all of you that showed up for your performers on Friends & Family Night.  The kids may not express their appreciation, but we promise, it is there. :) Also, a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers that made the dinner happen - from set-up to clean-up, you are appreciated more than you know and your above-and-beyond efforts did not go unnoticed.   Although we had to "pivot" some plans due to unforeseen circumstances, it was an overall success! So grateful it did not rain! Hello Parents, 8 out of the16 chaperone spots have been filled for this evening's scavenger hunt as part of the Band Olympics event.  As you can see, we still would like additional chaperones.  The kids will be split up into 8 teams and we would like to have 2 chaperones per team, hence the original chaperone request for 16ppl but we can suffice with 8 if absolutely necessary. Volunteers will check-in with Amy Krostich at 5:45 in the band hallway.  The plan is to walk from the school to West Boynton Beach Park with the kids where a scavenger hunt will take place.  The event is from 6-8pm.  Upon conclusion of the event, chaperones will walk back to the school with the kids as well.
